IHG faced multiple operational hurdles across retail, services, and manufacturing due to a lack of integrated systems. Managing a huge item catalog with detailed specification sheets without real-time consolidated visibility led to inefficiencies and increased costs. Despite having a strong workforce, the lack of digital integration across companies and teams further exacerbated these issues. The manufacturing process failed to produce accurate COGS, real-time reporting was absent, and the complex HR process took roughly nine days to process salary slips. Additionally, there was no biometric integration for accurate overtime calculation.

Benefits

Deploying ERPNext as a monolith significantly improved item and product catalog management. Custom Frappe APIs were built to facilitate seamless product catalog propagation to third-party services. The integration of biometric systems and customization of the HR module enhanced the management of overtime, late hours, and air ticket accruals. Inter-company transactions were automated, and a custom price and discounting module was implemented for retail operations. Additionally, an Android app was developed for warehouse management, custom reports were created, and technical knowledge was successfully transferred to the IT team, resulting in streamlined processes and improved operational efficiency.
